This is my first published caricature of my step-dad Nelson Hayes.  I was 12 or so when I did it and it appeared on the back of the book Trackers of the Skies.  The book is edited by my step-dad and the front cover was done by my mother.  The book was about the the work of astronomers working at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory where my step-dad was Editor.   I met Carl Sagan in those days and Alan Hynek.  They all played chess together!
